While the $200K price cut for Steph and Ayesha Curry’s 7,520-square-foot Walnut Creek pad at 620 Sugarloaf Court was walked back after we first reported the unadvertised reduction from $3.6 million to $3.4 million in April, the advertised price was subsequently reduced to $3.5 million last month.
And lo and behold, the advertised, but unlisted, asking price is now (back) down to $3.4 million (or $3.395 million to be exact).
Once again, Steph and Ayesha purchased the pad for $3.2 million in the fourth quarter of 2015, after which another $400K was spent to remodel the kitchen (which was used to shoot a Food Network series for Ayesha) and rebuild the master bath with a walk-in steam shower and therapeutic soaking tub.
The problem is IMO they paid way too much for the home to begin with. In 2013, the home struggled to sell at $2,475,000, and was taken off the market. It was re-listed and sold for less than asking in February 2014 for $2.5M. Then in November 2015, the Curry’s dropped a whopping $3.2M for the house, $700K more than the previous sale.
how does one spend $400k on one kitchen and one bathroom remodel?
I too wasted money on some remodels before I turned 30.
Then again, I didn’t have that kind of money to lose.
UPDATE: Steph and Ayesha Curry’s East Bay Pad Officially Listed at a Loss
