114 Inez Place

Listed for an eye-popping $10.881 million in June, the asking price for the 4,372-square-foot Mill Valley home at 114 Inez Place, which was at the center of a neighborhood brawl over the placement of a memorial bench at the end of its acreage, was reduced 13 percent to $9.495 million in August and then another 18 percent to $7.8 million in September.

Reduced another $850,000 (11 percent) to $6.95 million in November and briefly in contract earlier this month, the list price for 114 Inez Place has just been reduced by another million to $5.95 million, for a total reduction of $4.931 million, or 45 percent, over the past five months.

And according to the listing, seller financing is now available at a competitive rate (which might hint at the results of a recent appraisal).

  1. Just shows how ridiculous the market is. More power to those who want to play the real estate game. I have better things to do with my time and energy.

  2. UPDATE: 114 Inez Place has just been listed anew with an official “1” day on the market and a (newly reduced) asking price of $5.2 million which is now over 50 percent less than when originally listed (but a sale at which would be considered to be “at asking” according to industry stats and aggregate reports).
