Purchased as a 1,500-square-foot Noe Valley home for $750,000 in 2003, Eric Melvin, the lead guitarist for NOFX, doubled the living space at 665 29th Street, remodeled the home’s rear studio, and added the all-new kitchen, lower-level family room, third bedroom and two-car garage below.
And having returned to the market listed for $3.6 million, or roughly $1,180 per square foot, two months ago, the asking price for the punk rocker’s pad with big views was just reduced 8.5 percent to $3.295 million and roughly $1,080 per foot.
Sweet place, but so foggy and cold up there in Diamond Heights adjacent Noe Valley.
I’d rather have cold and foggy over sunny and stepping over homeless to get to my front door.

UPDATE: The asking price for 665 29th Street has just been reduced another $300K (9.1 percent) to $2.995 million and under $1,000 per square foot.

The fourth studio album from NOFX is called, “White Trash, Two Heebs, and Bean.”
Seems like it would be punk rock for someone to tag this house. Stick it to the man, and all.
