The asking price for the “Villa de Martnini” on Telegraph Hill has just been reduced by $1,888,0000 (13 percent), now asking $13 million for the Mediterranean-styled, urban estate which was built on a triple-wide lot in 1929, with arched doorways and hand-painted palazzo and silver leaf ceilings.
Purchased for $8,750,000 in late 2004, after which it was “painstakingly remodeled,” preserving much of the home’s original architectural detailing (not including the home’s new kitchen or baths), the villa at 298 Chestnut Street was originally listed for $16 million early last year.

Chin up, there’s always the chance you’ll make a great cat burglar one day.
Beautiful house, but only 3 bedrooms. My suggestion: add a second story to the two-car garage and that would create a 4th bedroom. Cost: $250,000.
Repeat that reduction 6 more times and let’s talk…
