690 Page Street Site

In the works for a couple of years, the plans to raze the bunker-like former church and community center at 690 Page Street, along with the adjacent parking lot on the northeast corner of Page and Steiner, are now ready for the Planning Commission’s formal review.  And if the project is approved, four new buildings with three condos apiece will rise up to four stories across the Lower Haight site, with parking for a total of 12 cars under the buildings.

The paperwork for both demolition and construction permits for the project has already been filed and the formal subdivision of the parcel into four lots is under review.

  1. Gary Gee architect — shouldn’t be ugly. Last infill site in area until the various gas stations on Divis a few blocks over are reconsidered. Related -what’s taking DMV to build out its lot? Vast waste in such a strategic location overlooking the Panhandle. It’s been years since the interesting development was proposed.
