For those wondering how much deeper the massive hole being dug for CPMC’s Cathedral Hill Hospital project will go, the answer is: not much. In fact, the end of the project’s excavation phase was officially marked this afternoon with a “bottoming out” celebration to commemorate the milestone.
In a couple of weeks, two tower cranes will begin to rise on the site. And at the end of next month, the new hospital’s foundation will begin to be poured.
So here is a question someone on this site can answer: I know that a large portion of the block across Van Ness is set to be redeveloped as part of this project- when is that work supposed to begin?
Late 2015
actually late 2014 for demo
Looking forward to seeing the new hospital on the hill! We are so fortunate to have such great care in our City.
