Having shed 3.4 percent over the previous three months, the National Association of Realtors Pending Home Sales Index, for which 100 denotes an average level of activity, ticked up 1.5 percent to an above average 110.2 in June which is 0.5 percent higher versus the same time last year.
And in the West, the index gained 2.1 percent to a slightly above average 101.5 but remains 1.1 percent lower on a year-over-year basis versus 5.0 percent higher at the end of 2016.
