As we wrote a year ago today, or technically tomorrow, “with Downton Abbey helping drive the trend, stainless steel and industrial ranges are out while old-school stoves with style, like La Cornue, are in. Even if only a CornuFé.”

And speaking of CornuFé, the stove above was installed in 2901 Broadway’s original kitchen as part of the 2007 Decorator Showcase, which required the new range to remain where the original had sat, for the new sink to remain across the room, and for the refrigerator to stay out in the hall.  And yes, those appliances, original layout, and rooms are all long gone.

On this day of thanks, here’s to hoping your home and stoves are warm, your pantry is plentiful and your table is overflowing with family and friends. Safe travels if you are and we’ll see you next week.
