600 South Van Ness Site

On the boards since 2013, the permits to level the former Target Auto Repair shop site on the southwest corner of South Van Ness and 17th Street and construct a five-story building are in the works and awaiting Planning’s approval of the development.

As proposed, the 600 South Van Ness project will include 27 apartments over three ground floor retail spaces and a garage for 17 cars and 27 bikes.  The Planning Commission hearing for the project has been scheduled for the end of this month (April 30).

  1. You mean Market Rate Housing. Last I looked we live in a Republic that is capitalistic. Campos et al need to go lead some communist country where they strip property owners of all their rights.

Provided the owner stays within zoning regulations Campos et al should go on to do something that is actually productive for the City, IMO.
