A plugged-in tipster delivers the latest renderings for the proposed 427,000-square-foot ‘innovation campus’ to rise at 100 Hooper Street, adjacent to the California College of Arts.

Dubbed ‘Hundred Hooper’ and designed by Pfau Long Architecture, the development aims to become “the New Address of Technology, Innovation, and Craft,” with a “marriage of applied art and product design, engineering and prototyping, technology and manufacturing uses in a vibrant and collaborative campus setting” as envisioned.

  1. Well, clearly from these rather [techie]-infused renderings, they are hard at work solving white people’s problems. 🙂

    1. Like solving the ONEROUS problem of having to pull out a credit card to make a purchase. Or making sure that your cell phone screen color reflects your mood. Or saving you the problem of reserving a place at the latest hot hot hot gastropub!

  2. Bout it. We need more of this… in Showplace, but also down 3rd just south of Dogpatch and around Cesar Chavez. Regardless, I can’t wait for the shovels hit the ground.

  3. This looks great and will be fantastic for this area. Excited to see where this area heads, lots of changes on the horizon with this building, Jessica McClintock building, the building at the corner of 15th and DeHaro, and CCA developing their open lot over the years.

  4. This is excellent news and construction can’t start soon enough. This site is one of the worst homeless magnets in the city and Hooper Street is always littered with used needles and crack vials, even on those rare occasions when the tents have just been cleared. Any Potrero Hill resident should love this… right?

  5. Fantastic! I’m curious to see how the two uses will interact. There isn’t much space in this city for companies who need a significant amount of both office and production space, which seems to be in great demand, given the recent growth of advanced prototyping and manufacturing outfits and potential biotech tenants who need space adjacent to Mission Bay. Also, if you look at their website (hundredhooper dot com), it looks like the project already has the support of the Potrero & Dogpatch neighborhood associations as well as CCA (which might be a critical partner in all of this as well…given their need for spaces for their students and alumni).

      1. They’re probably referring to the merchant’s association, which does exist. If you have an issue with the proofreading, maybe it would be better to notify those who created the website…looks like a firm out of NYC called Studio 216 (which explains the misspelling).

    1. I believe he meant the two individual associations, Potrero and Dogpatch. Cool idea, I look forward to development on this lot

  6. http://pdma-sf.org/
    Potrero Dogpatch Merchants Association
Yes! 2 neighborhoods did join together
    from website
“The Potrero Dogpatch Merchants Association (PDMA) is made up of 170+ businesses from Potrero and Dogpatch. We represent an eclectic mix of food and drink, salons, spas, healers, shopping, schools, business services, entertainment and more.”

    1. So how many stories would be innovative? Like 120? Or has someone in China already done that? Or maybe an irrational number of stories?
