Mortgage Rates Move Up From 21-Month Lows
February 12, 2015Erasing a one week dip to a 21-month low, the average rate for a conforming 30-year mortgage increased from 3.59 percent to 3.69 percent but remains 59 basis points below the 4.28 percent average rate at the same time last year.
Averaging 6.7 percent over the past twenty years, the 30-year rate hit all-time low of 3.31 percent in November 2012 and a three-year high of 4.58 percent in August 2013.
