Originally a three-bedroom, the fourth floor of the Russian Hill building at 2222 Hyde Street has been remodeled by interior designer, John Wheatman, to effectively serve as a rather enviable one-bedroom unit, with postcard worthy views of the city and bay from the dining room, living room and library.
The kitchen now opens to a family room, with two sliding walls for when another bedroom is needed.
And the one room that’s currently outfitted with a bed was reconfigured “to encompass copious space for wardrobe, plus a fitness area and spa-inspired bathroom with heated floors.”
Now on the market and listed for $5,150,000 with 2,600 square feet of space, call it just under $2,000 per square foot at asking. Or a little over $5 million per bed.
Beautiful! Nice job!
I approve whole-heartedly of the interior detail, and of the decor. Very appropriate for an older Russian Hill building. This looks like a place where someone might actually live.
Exactly what I was thinking.
Would really like to have that finish on my own kitchen cabinets. Now we know where Don Draper lives while in San Francisco!
wait until 2238 Hyde finally gets condo’d. that’s gonna set some records.
This is beautiful. I especially appreciate the window nook with the bookshelves underneath.
