The National Association of Realtors Pending Home Sales Index inched up a nominal 0.3 percent from August to September and is now running 1.0 percent higher on a year-over-year basis, the first year-over-year gain for the index in eleven months.
At the same time, the Pending Home Sales index for the West fell 0.8 percent in September but remains 3.6 percent higher versus the same time last year.
And in terms of inventory, the number of listed homes for sale across the country is currently running 2.7 percent lower, year-over-year.
