As the re-listing for Firehouse 44 hits the “official” 326 days on the market mark, 928 days since first being listed in May of 2008, one-half of the former Engine Company 40 which was converted to a pair of townhouses a decade ago is back on the market at 8 Carmel Street asking $1,895,000 having been purchased for $1,425,000 in 2003.
Five levels, four days on the market, three bedrooms, two original firehouse doors, and one original firehouse pole.
Speaking of which, from the notes for tomorrow’s brokers tour: “Homemade firehouse chili for best firepole dancers…”. No mention of any open houses, or fire pole dancing contests, for non-professionals.
Sigh.
Did anyone else see this today?
It looked CRAPPY, and the listing agents weren’t friendly at all. What was with the trash everywhere?
Really, Rex? We were unfriendly? I apologize, since it’s not our nature. What “trash” are you referring to? If you think it looked crappy, can’t argue with your opinion, but that’s the first and only time I’ve heard that one.
Thanks for coming, just the same. I think.
Is the lower level meant to be the “third bedroom”?
