It’s not San Francisco centric, but there is at least one local example, and we do love before and after picture pairs (hint, hint). Now if only their budgets were featured as well.

The photos are pretty impressive, but of course without budgets the make-overs are meaningless, and using only dingy old black and white photos for the “befores” and full color hi res images for the “afters” feels like a lame realtor trick.
You probably couldn’t do half of this stuff in SF, since the NIMBY neighbors would object and the historic preservation people would get their panties in a bunch. And who knows, maybe you’d get fined for removing a lawn in favor of drought-tolerant planting too.
