It’s not quite in the same league as number six, but it is in the same beloved building (The Heights at 1940 Broadway). And we are quite fond of floor plans.
∙ Listing: 1940 Broadway #1W (3/2) – $2,495,000 [MLS]
∙ A Few Of Our Favorite Things: Big Windows, Views, And A Floor Plan [SocketSite]
in the listing the agent says “some view” for 2.5MM I would want more than “some view”. But again the building is premier to say the least.
The bathrooms are reaaly small, and there is only two of them. And the location of the fireplace in the living room does not work…
#1W (west) and the reference to palladian (round top) windows places this unit on the ground floor, left of the entry. Guests arriving for functions in the more exclusive units upstairs might mistake you for the concierge.
Even so, I love it. Certianly conforms to the rule to buy the cheapest home in the most expensive area.
I love this building, but where are the pictures? I don’t know how big it reall is, but the third bedroom on the floorplan is so tiny I had to look for it.
It’s a very handsome building.
But what a disappointing floor plan. The bathrooms are very small by today’s standards and the closet space is inadequate by any standard. The third bedroom is, at best, a dark and pokey maid’s room. The second bedroom is not much better. And the living room is a tunnel with light only at one end.
Nice address, though. And two parking spaces!
enjoy those $2,500/mo HOA’s…
The HOA’s are quarterly… actually very reasonable on a monthly basis at this price point/size.
The list price for 1940 Broadway #1W has been reduced for the second time. Now asking $1,995,000 (20% under its original list).
The sale of 1940 Broadway #1W closed escrow on 2/19/09 with a reported contract price of $1,850,000 (26% under orignal asking).
Not bad to still be getting $1000/sqft for these prime properties.
