An eagle eyed reader checks out the virtual views from 555 Mission and notices a plain white box rendered at the corner of 2nd and Howard. And while that corner currently serves as a surface level parking lot, the rendering appears to be a placeholder (and no, not the final design) for Tishman Speyer’s proposed 617,000-square-foot office tower at 222 2nd.
Not sure how much this means, as this same image omits several large existing buildings. Check out the corner of Folsom and Second. 246 Second Street appears to the be the last large building rendered, as the large SBC building, Blu (under construction) and 600 Harrison are missing, among others in that area.
Blu’s frame is up now. It just poped out of no where the other day.
