2450 Francisco: Master Floor Plan
A beamed ceiling, an abundance of windows, and a balcony overlooking the patio/garden; his and her bathrooms with walk in (or through) closets; and a steam shower with separate “tiled Roman soaking tub.”
And while we’ll note at least three discrepancies between the pictures/description and the floor plans above (think pocket doors, fireplace and separate tub/shower), it’s still the kind of master suite one likes to dream about. And no, the rest of the house ain’t too shabby either.

  1. I’d much rather live in a propert with similar sq footage with views for days in Ashbury Terrace for that sort of money. Isn’t that right by 101 or Richardson st. ? Not the greatest block. Oh well. It will probably go for $3.7M because it’s big and in the Marina.

  2. I lived a block 5 houses away from this place. It’s super quiet. I’d sleep with my windows wide open and NEVER hear noise from lombard or 101.

  3. I hate to be picky, but since this is SocketSite:
Someone needs to redmark the floor plans. They show a pocket door in the master suite, but the photo shows a wide opening without doors. I looked hither and yon for the soaking tub but all I see are showers.
[Editor’s Note: Great minds (see the revised post above).]

  4. seriously? to dream about?
there’s no soaking tub anywhere to be seen in this master suite. closets are small too. and not even a private toilet room, for that money.
    another rip off.

  5. Wow, bought for $1,050,000 back in 2000. Owners are going to make a pretty penny. Great neighborhood, and nice staging. I love this area.

  6. So someone tell me why “his and hers” bathrooms each need double sinks? What a waste of space.
It’s not kosher to wash your milk and your meat in the same sink.

  7. Nice house, but relatively smallish kitchen and close proximity to busy Lombard. Landfill a turnoff for some, but overall a really unique property. Note – It is a legal two unit building, not a single family home. Finishes are great and staged to perfection. Another great barometer for the Marina market. Should sell within 10 days. We’ll see.

  8. Thought the floorplan looked like it was converted from two unit into a one unit. My understanding is that as long as planning allows this conversion, the actual legal description of the property doesn’t matter. Does anyone know if the discordance has any implications on the value of the home? I would think not, just wondering.

  9. I would never live in the Marina. It has to be the fender bender capital of California. The Four-Way Stop Sign SCOFFLAW capital of the world. The pump your brakes and do not come to a complete stop as you offer your middle finger to your fellow man capital of the country. Seriously. I’ve never seen such a bunch of self involved bad drives.

  10. “No one is going to mention liquifaction?”
…..instead of being hit by a gunshot or some street thug? I am now beginning to understand how a One Rincon buyer feels. What is it about the Marina that causes so many nasty comments from other parts of town?
