2786 Broadway
We didn’t mention it in November when the list price for 2786 Broadway was reduced 12.8% (from $12,500,000 to $10,900,000). On Friday, however, the price was reduced another 12.8% (from $10,900,000 to $9,500,000). And so now we’re mentioning it.
∙ Listing: 2786 Broadway (4/4) – $9,500,000 [MLS]

  1. I’m curious as to what’s wrong with this place… It was overpriced to begin with, sure, but is it really that bad? It must need a LOT of work… I think if it were 8.5, or closer to 1200 psf, it’d sell..

  2. It’s not selling because it’s the runt of the neighborhood, a colossal architectural mistake with all the charm of a drive-through bank. There are contemporary masterpieces within half a block of this [Removed by Editor], and some of them are even for sale.

  3. This is located on perhaps one of the two premier blocks of the city, so what would be the land value if one were buying this as a tear down? As an architect, this would be a dream site to either do an extensive remodel or new construction. The owner(client) can then go down the street to borrow sugar from some interesting neighbors. There is Larry with the big sailboat, and Ann who makes couches and antique tables, and those people who make blue jeans. (Ellison, Getty, Haas) I still miss the days when Melvin Belli ran down the street in the middle of the night firing a gun in his nightgown, that was when outer Broadway had nightlife!

  4. My family and I, are renting this Broadway St, house for year. The new owner put it on the market for renting very soon after he bought it!

  5. Weird! I wonder if they are having a hard time getting their plans for the property through planning? Wouldn’t be the first time!

  6. Is this for sale again? There’s a TRI sign outside… I don’t know if it’s for the rental or if it’s back on the market.

  7. The supposed buyer from that August 2010 sale that eddy notes is an SVP from Apple who lives or lived in Menlo Park, but also has condos in the city.
