Yeah, the place looks very cool, but $900K for not even 1 bedroom and in that location? I know that true conversion lofts have cache, but cache will only get you so far if the location is “sub-optimal.”
Hey seller, do me a favor and pull my other leg, this one’s getting tired.
Hey Anonymous, do us a favor and know what you’re talking about. That “location” is golden. Even if it’s not (gasp!) in the Marina.
Adjacent to AT&T Park, South Park, amenities, etc. Have you actually BEEN to Second St. between Bryant and Brannan?
It will go for over asking. Though it’s only a 1BD, it’s relatively cheap on a PSF basis for that building. Parking hassles notwithstanding.
… and it’s “cachet”.
I love everything about these, too (bricks, windows, wood, metal). The location is also very good, practically optimal. Someone will be very lucky to live there. So chic.
Why does everyone think that “Marina” is such a great location? I’ll admit, if you can afford to live in one of the mansions on Marina Green, you are in the money. So, you have Chestnut St and Union St, with nice shops and restaurants. Guess what? We have those within a mile radius in South Beach/Rincon Hill, along with many more choices than Marina has (Ferry Building, Union Square, Westfield Shopping Center, museums, AT&T Park, etc, etc). Plus, the weather is much nicer in this part of the city.
Don’t get me wrong, Marina is a desireable area. However, I think its highly overrated, especially when you consider that most people who live there do not live in the mansions, but rather, modest, much older places, without the amenities of all these modern high-rises.
WOW! What a beauty. Obviously anonymous9:18 doesn’t get the loft thing (“not even 1 bedroom”). If you’re a lover of real loft conversions, NYC style, you gotta LOVE this home! And, South Park is a total sleeper. One day, after full gentrification, it will be one of the most sought-after locales in soma!
Yeah…the Marina sucks. Unless you like fighting your way through crowds of drunk post frat boys and fake boobs in the fog.
Is this a Holliday development? Talk about a redundant and overused layout.
