1310 Minnesota #309 Deck
Okay, so it’s not quite the same deal as 2002 3rd Street #212, but after 30 days on the market, 1310 Minnesota #309 has been reduced $19,000 (2.7%) and is employing the same “First offer at asking will buy the property*!” shtick.
And while we’re digging the deck (above), we can’t help but imagine how much better it would look with a blue sky and fluffy white clouds. Anyone care to give it a shot? Fame (but no fortune) for the best enhancement(s) [email: tips@socketsite.com].
UPDATE: We so love our readers. From Mr. K at knacktion.com: “I did two versions, one with the same sky as the last photo in the listing so they’d match, and one with some happy clouds in it. I’ve also powerwashed the wood deck and furniture because it’ll add at least $5000 to the sales price…”

We liked the clouds. Thanks for “plugging in” Mr. K!
UPDATE #2: We can’t help but share Peter’s lighthearted “enhancement” of Mr. K’s handiwork…

Thanks for “plugging in” Peter (and for starting our weekend off with a laugh).

  1. Note to Editor: You’ve posted three topics since the One Rincon newsletter where, to date, there have been 37 comments posted, whereas my post here is the first comment in any of the three subsequent topics.
Bottom line: All that other stuff just isn’t sexy……..the more Rincon Hill fodder, the better!
[Editor’s Note: Don’t worry, we’ll keep you plugged in to what’s happening over on Rincon Hill. Keep in mind, however, that while we’re thrilled to generate 37 comments on a single post, SocketSite currently averages over 5,000 unique visits a day.]

  2. So, have we come to a conclusion as to whether or not using the enhanced images is a step shy of ethical? the reason i ask–i LOVE the updated picture–great job! can i use it?
[Editor’s Note: That’s Mr. K’s call with regard to usage. And as far as we’re concerned, altering the sky is fair game, but you might want to consider having your clients spring for the actual powerwashing…]

  3. I love the spruced up photo. But you know what’s missing? Hot girls and guys lounging about sipping something tall and cool. Could we make that happen?

  4. Ah Garrett, I too loved the revision, but you must’ve read the photography posts prior. It ranged from ‘flat out deceit’ to a little bit is ok.
I am shocked what a difference that photoshop work made (great work Knacktion) – but then again I shouldn’t be because I’ve seen what staging can do, why not a ‘highlighted’ photograph?

  5. Peter’s version is spot on.
Perhaps if there were more “altered” pics like his real estate prices in The City might not be so outrageous 😉
    Cheers

  6. I’m not sure which is funnier, the Godzilla photo or those red bar stools around a Metro-shelf unit. Yikes.

  7. The photo update #1 forgot one thing… you need to remove the smokestack in the view! ….although Gozilla in update #2 does the trick 😉

  8. The Godzilla gets me every time. Whenever I need a laugh I just scroll to these “before” and “after” pics. They are priceless just as the previous post suggested.

  9. I’m glad you liked the Godzilla update. I was pressed for time and couldn’t get the starship Enterprise to work quite right…
