Purchased for $1.45 million in 2011, the former wine country cooperage on Lodi Lane in Saint Helena was converted into an industrial chic residence/retreat, complete with a new pool, pool house and an outdoor kitchen with a wood burning pizza oven and grill in 2014. And the 4,800-square-foot home, which is sited on over an acre of land, was then listed for $6.75 million that September.

Reduced to $5.995 million in 2015 and then relisted for $5.495 million in 2016, the list price for the property was reduced to $5.35 million in 2017, to $5.195 million in 2018 and then to $4.995 million in September of 2019 before begin offered for rent at $16,000 per month in January of last year.

And having been listed anew for $4.995 million this past October, the sale of 1085 Lodi Lane has now closed escrow with a contract price of $4.575 million and an official “88 days on the market.”

  1. That is a beautiful city, but I am not sure if I would buy there given all the fires. This January is exceptionally dry again, ugh…

    1. This. So many houses in that region are now all but uninsurable. Happened over the past few years. You’d have to be crazy to buy there now. Wonder when we’ll see the market realize it & adjust?

  2. I hope the house comes with a scissor lift to facilitate the continual dusting of all of the out of reach brace, duct, strut, pipe surfaces. A full time commitment.

  3. It’s a very unique property. But seriously with the TV and cable box plopped next to the fireplace? How gauche! 😉
