On the market for $100 million, the “Calistoga Hills Resort,” an 88-acre parcel of land upon which Calistoga voters have approved the development of a 110-room luxury hotel with 20 villas and 13 estate homes, has just sold to an undisclosed Asia Pacific-based international development and investment firm.
The final sale price hasn’t been disclosed either, but according to Cushman & Wakefield, the lead advisor on the deal, the “record breaking sale” represents one of the highest per room hotel land sales in the country.
The seller, billionaire Jacqui Safra, still owns Spring Mountain Vineyard in St. Helena.
If I were to guess, would this be bought by someone involved with the Aman Resorts? I have stayed at the Amangiri and room prices there started at a whopping $1,200 a night, but it was incredible.
Drool. Can you pack me in your suitcase next time you go to Aman? Oops, the sentence sounds weird but you know what I mean.
Imagine getting married and honeymooning in something similar! Swoon. I would have sensory overload.
“Huh? What did you say, spouse to be?
“I didn’t say anything.”
“Oh! It must be the resort whispering sweet nothings in my ear. Never mind. Carry on.”
On that note, Happy upcoming Valentine’s Day!
Hefty payday for the seller’s broker. Commercial land deals have higher fees usually.
So does the IR$
California is also part of Asian Pacific.
UPDATE: Rosewood Napa Valley?
