The plumbed bathtub on the roof of 28 Prosper Street isn’t included in the official two bathroom count for the Castro home, but it is fully functional as far as we know. Purchased for $1,300,000 in 2006, the kitchen was remodeled in 2008 with green granite and a Bertazzoni gas range:
The four-bedroom Victorian is now back on the market and listed for $1,795,000.

nice and cozy
I’ll betcha that clawfoot was left over from the interior bathroom remodel. Kind of a clever way to enable a nice outdoors soak with very little cash.
I assume the wood slats on the wall fold down to make this a table or sidebar, which is convenient for a rooftop party (and makes it a nice conversation element).
Interesting looking at the sales history. According to redfin it was sold in 1993, 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2006. That’s a remarkable amount of turnover, even assuming that at least one of those was a flip.
$1.7M for THIS?! Um, no thanks.
If ever a home needed a professional stager…. Great house and location, but this place looks nowhere close to $1.8 .
It will go for over asking. The market is insane right now.
That kitchen does not look cute.
Staging or no furniture would be better than that. Maybe it will work in the buyer’s favor.
Pending! Rooftop bathers are an influential new demographic.
