Designed by Faith Gohstand and architect Jeremy Kotas, Faith’s curvaceous and angular Portola home at 1539 Felton Street is on the market for the first time, asking $958,000.
Built in 1992, the three-bedroom home “reaches up and angles out to find views of the downtown skyline in front, and sweeping vistas across the Bay in back.”
Feel free to mute the audio for the property’s video tour and add your own soundtrack, we’ll apologize in advance if any particular (George Michael) song gets stuck in your head:

It kind of reminds me of the style in Beetlejuice
This is what they call “postmodern” architecture, right?
Not post-modern. But maybe precious or narcissistic, violating centuries of architectural history, including the most basic tenets of modernism.
To each their own (translation: I hate it).
It certainly epitomizes early 90s architecture.
I don’t hate it so much..I appreciate the quirkiness, and the connection to outdoors. Not so much the bathroom colors (easy fix). Would you call those colors “Memphis”?
pretty good location (and weather) in Portola if you drive everywhere
I kinda like the house.
Definitely more so than the top-billing reference of Faith to herself as “Visionary” to start and end the video….
And, did you know, “the house is one with the Earth.”
Wow.
It looks like it’s gearing to pounce on its neighbor. I kind of like the bathroom though…very “MTV’s The Real World”-chic. Also, what did right angles do to these people to deserve such cruel neglect?
But as easy as this house is to ridicule, there’s something endearing about it. Or maybe it’s just the positive associations from my 90s childhood…
