As we wrote in early 2010 when the resale of 1234 Howard #2C defied the commodity condo price trend: “Yes, design matters (whether you like it or not).”
And while #2C isn’t a signature louvered unit at 1234 Howard, #2B is and has returned to the market listed for $869,000 having been purchased for $785,000 in March of 2008.

SOMA is in dire need of trees.
Hey SF: concrete does not qualify as landscaping.
If you’re Saitowitz, concrete qualifies as everything.
that is not a kitchen for anybody who likes to deep fry.
@EH, that’s exactly what I was thinking. Every detail has been attended to here, except the obvious issue that any sort of serious cooking in that kitchen will smoke out the residents.
The prominent wine rack to the right hints that the most complex cooking task expected here involves a corkscrew.
Its one of those SF paradoxes. The most decked out deluxe kitchens are rarely used but a tiny galley fitted with cheapo Whirlpool appliances in a 1BR will be cooking every night.
The aspirational kitchen.
After three months on the market, the listing for 1234 Howard Street #2B has been withdrawn from the MLS without a reported sale.
