Purchased for $759,000 in 2006, the rather well kept Mission Terrace home at 769 Cayuga Avenue has returned to the market listed for $649,000 ($545 per square foot) in 2011.
Yes, only one bath, but with what would appear to be room for potential expansion down.
∙ Listing: 769 Cayuga Avenue (2/1) 1,190 sqft – $649,000 [769cayuga.com] [MLS]
Non fire-rated garage, old foundations, and low ceilings.
Photos of Glen Park are on the MLS. The house is on the other side of the freeway in Mission Terrace. Isn’t this intentionally misleading?
Intentionally misleading? On the MLS? Impossible.
I don’t know anything about this house and its location, but a similar story:
I went to see a house in the marina that advertised “views of the Palace of Fine Arts!” If you had someone hold your feet and stuck your head out the window, you could indeed see it up the street.
On the scale of the MLS/NAR, these are very minor lies. . . .
It’s a nice looking house, but who wants to live above P&GE gas pipelines and all that bart and freeway noise in the Mission Terrace.
I’m not seeing any Glen Park photos on the MLS. Maybe they were removed? (GP photos remain on the other custom website). It is odd to include photos from the other side of the freeway when Mission is a lot closer and has plenty to choose from.
Nice spacious full floorplate garage.
“…all that bart and freeway noise in the Mission Terrace.”
BART and Freeway noise on this part of Cayuga is minimal. Both are about 8 blocks away…
Pretty crappy area. I think the 2006 buyers deserve a bigger than 14% haircut.
The list price for 769 Cayuga has just been reduced to $629,000. Once again, purchased for $759,000 in 2006.
PS shows that the 2006 buyers only put down $10k and borrowed the remaining $749k. Another foreclosure in the making? Whatever, down 17% from then isn’t enough of a discount for this area.
