Behind the neo-Gothic façade of the single-family Russian Hill home at 2430 Hyde Street, a courtyard English Garden and renovated interior are hidden.
The kitchen and adjacent mud room overlook and open to the garden as well.
The rounded stairway with arched windows leads to three bedrooms on the upper level, including the four-chambered master suite.
And yes, there are famed and framed Bridge and Bay views.

Wonderful home. Good luck to all.
Beautiful home. Love that they kept the character of the house.
One caveat: There is talk about what will happen to the reservoir across the street. If it becomes a park, that’s great. But, if it gets developed, it could be years of construction and potentially the loss of the view.

Boy, if I had $5MM to invest in a home, this would be a top contender. Very nicely done; great attention to detail. Beautiful yard.
Gorgeous home….
Interesting staging, they clearly aren’t trying to get a family in there. If I count right it looks like they have 3 offices and 2 bedrooms.
This is how it’s done!
Developers need to realize that when choosing between obese contemporary design built to max out the lot vs room for a garden, the green should win every time. This is wonderful.
A real beautiful property, especially the views and the way the LR flows into the garden/courtyard. The entry is beautiful as well.
The details really shine through here… perhaps only the kitchen seems to have lost a bit of connection to the rest of the space.
@lark: This was built in 1937 on a 47-ft-wide lot. Those developers are long gone– as are the 47-ft-wide lots. I suspect the decision to build this way was the client and architect’s, not some bogeyman “developer.”
Just went pending!
