Having dropped in August and September, the National Association of Realtors Pending Home Sales Index ‘nudged’ up 0.2 percent in October to its third lowest level of the year.
The index, for which 100 denotes an average level of activity, now measures 107.7 and remains 3.9 percent higher versus the same time last year. The year-over-year gain measured 10.7 percent in May, 8.2 percent higher in June, 7.4 percent higher in July, 6.1 percent higher in August, and a revised3.7 percent higher in September.
The Pending Home Sales index for the West gained 1.7 percent to 106.2 in October, which is 10.4 percent higher versus the same time last year.
