Having been on the market since 2010 when first listed for $12 million and seeking $9.9 million ever since, the Valle Vista compound has just been listed anew for $8,900,000.

I like the house, although it’s not what I would build in that setting.
I know I wouldn’t be buying the furniture, but the staging actually hinders rather than helps. Doesn’t really suit the house, and is a bit of a mishmash.
I can’t tell you how many places like this I’ve declined to put offers on because their wine caves were not legitimate.
A legitimate wine cave? As in deep into the earth? Finally! So sick of seeing “wine cellars” on penthouse floors.
Is that a…banana on the wall in the kitchen?
Clean house and outfit with all modern furniture and this place could be sexy. Spectacular patio, pool and views.

The main house is only suitable for a Bond villain. I mean — it includes a cave, even. The guest house is where I’d spend my time. If I was rich enough to be stupid, I’d buy it and knock down the main house, leaving only the guest house. Perhaps I’d save the English cucumber / zucchini / banana tho.
I predict yet another price drop.

@Kurt, you could be in luck. Would you be willing to live in the Car Barn/Gym? It looks as that’s on the other side of a property line, so you could buy, split, and flip the house, then brag about it here!
