Are we the only ones who were surprised by the number of times we were greeted by a hearty, “It’s priced to sell!” at open houses throughout the city this weekend? (Yes, even in the Marina.) Perhaps its just the new new thing (along with a renewed sense of urgency):
This property is perfect for those who love urban living and is priced to sell quickly. Open House held on Sundays 8/13, 8/20, 8/27 from 1 to 4. Offers with signed disclosure packages expected by noon, August 29 at the property address.
We’ll keep you posted.
∙ Listing: 764 Stanyan – $1,595,000 [MLS]
“Priced to sell” – we don’t have enough time to wait for a greater fool.
“New Price” – we’ve tired of waiting for a greater fool.
What’s up with the ‘Even in the Marina’ comment?
If you did see Marina ‘priced to sell units’, pls post away. If not, just keep on salivating. You guys will never be able to afford prime Marina baby!
Don’t hate.
You guys think the market is crashing? This unit is on STANYAN people, one of the busiest roads.. and it looks awful with NO PICTURES!
They want Marina prices for that. Utterly ridiculous.
I agree…not the best canary in a coal mine. The location does really suck IMHO…right across from Kezar Stadium. OK, convenient to the Park, but also convenient to all the bums in the Haight and the traffic on Stanyan.
However, I quite enjoyed Socketsite’s “even in the Marina” comment. The Marina is pretty and has good views, but it’s also pretty bland. And does ANYONE remember what it looked like in October 89? I sure do, and it wasn’t pretty….. I’m going for bedrock, baby, and I’m quite happy in the Castro.
Note to self-
The marina area of “the city” is different. Added to the list of 5,285 places that are DIFFERENT!!!
I live further up on Stanyan near Anza. Yes the street is busy, but I don’t hear any noise when I go to bed. Recently a 2/1 1000sf house sold for around 900k.
