Listed for the $4,500,000 this past March, in June the list price for 1750 Taylor #205 was reduced to $3,995,000, and in August the listing was withdrawn from the MLS after 146 days on the market without a sale.
Today, the 2,849 square foot Royal Towers (now) one-bedroom returned to the MLS with an official “one” day on the market and an “original” list price of $2,900,000 (36 percent below its list price in March).
And apparently Ann Getty was responsible for those columns.
Did the Sultan fall on hard times?
columns: goes to show you that $ and taste are sometimes mutually exclusive.
i would not buy because of the columns
LOL.
Yes, if only the columns were different, I’d be writing a check right now.
Wow. How the mighty have fallen. Rich people even think that their bad taste is worth more.
I think Ann let that trip to The Oberoi go to her head.
I read a comment once that said Ann Getty was the Emperor’s New Clothes of designers… I always though that was a little on the nose.. To her credit though, she seems to have a better team designing for her these days. Her foyers at the Millennium showcase and 2820 Scott were totally fine and, bizarro murals aside, Trevor Traina’s Broadway house isn’t totally unfortunate looking.
this is a great building.these columns Ann what were you thinking.
The sale of 1750 Taylor Street #205 closed escrow today with a reported contract price of $2,900,000. Despite having originally been listed for $4,500,000 last March, keep in mind that it’s officially an “at asking” sale according to aggregate industry statistics.
