333 Bush #3706: Living and View
Granted, it’s a matter of opinion but we’ll still take exception to the MLS hyperbole (including “SF’s most prestigious doorman addresses”), but definitely not the view.

  1. Great looking apartment. Fabulous views. Too bad the Financial District rolls-up the sidewalks on nights and weekends.
It’s actually surprising that City Planning hasn’t focused on making the FiDi more of a nights-and-weekends location with open restaurants and an attractive mix of retail. If you live in a neighborhood, how many Starbucks and Walgreen’s stores are required? From 333 Bush, it’s about a 5 to 10-minute walk to Jackson Square/Columbus Ave.
What is that aerial view (image #15, immediately preceding the Chinatown gate)?

  2. if I’m reading the records correctly, this unit changed hands in Jan ’05 for just under $1M. It takes some guts to expect a 100%+ appreciation in SF over the last 2 1/2 years.
We talked about out-of-town buyers, here this is more like an out-of-town RE agent!

  3. These units never sell for a very high price; I think it’s because of the high HOA and parking fees, and you are living on top of an office building. How they are going to get financing when comps in the same building don’t justify the price is beyond me. I think this unit should be priced between $1,250,000 and $1,400,000

  4. SausalitoRes — that park is St. Mary’s Square. It’s above grade on California Street, so you can’t see it from your car, but you can enter it from California at Quincy, which is between Kearny and Grant.

  5. 1251 per sq ft…..1k hoa and no parking ??? very good luck to you- greedy and ridiculous (unjustifiable) pricing-

  6. SuasalitoRes,who’s going to Jackson Sq? 333 Bush is practically in the French Quarter and is a 3 minute walk to Union Square.
The asking price is probably related to the complete interior re-design. The architect apparently lives/works upstairs.

If someone needs to account for all that dreadful granite, might as well have it in the elevator.

  8. I work across the street from here. It’s grim on the weekends. I didn’t even know anyone lived in that building; I thought it was offices. Maybe they’ll convert to condos now that Heller Ehrman’s gone bankrupt. There’s plenty of space in the building.

  9. this unit has been on the market for quite sometime now. I know the unit has gone under a drastic remodel and that is partially why the last sale price and the current asking price is so much more. 333 is an old building, and a lot of the units are in need for extensive remodeling…
