921 Elizabeth: Inside
No specific story of which we’re aware (other than asking almost $1,200 a square foot on Elizabeth), a few of the images simply caught our eyes (not to be confused with cauterize).
∙ Listing: 921 Elizabeth (2/2.5) – $1,495,000 [MLS]

  1. x2 — agree with above. But I’m honestly continually surprised at the final selling prices of theses places.

  2. This is listed in the SF Chron sold homes today. Says it sold for $1.155M on 4/07/09; it was last sold for $1.35M in July 2006. So… about a 14% drop if the numbers are correct.

  3. I bet $264K of nondeductible personal loss is less of a loss than the 2009 purchaser is going to absorb over the next three years!
Including the capital loss and the after tax carrying costs, the sellers probably spent maybe $15-17K per month to live there. Not too bad – I’m sure they enjoyed it. Except for the 9 months or so (almost 30% of the time they “owned” it) during which they were trying to unload the albatross, dealing with realtors, open houses, keeping the place spotless for showings, etc.
