A reader’s comment with regard to an online ad for 2243 Greenwich:
Re the Craigslist rental ad–“Cntpry 6bd, 5bth,2-lvl, rmd, 2-cr pk, sng fm hs, bst lc” Does anyone else find this ad utterly baffling? I spent 5 minutes trying to figure it out. Is it Wheel of Fortune rental ads on Craigslist these days (“I’d like to buy a vowel, please”)?
Why someone would post an ad like this that is both confusing and alienating to its target market is beyond me.
∙ A Little Extra Perspective On The Listing: 2243 Greenwich [SocketSite]
∙ $10950 / 6br – Cntpry 6bd, 5bth,2-lvl, rmd, 2-cr pk, sng fm hs, bst lc [Craigslist]
Obvioulsy: “Contemporary 6 bedroom, 5 bath , 2-level, remodeled, 2 car parking, single family house, best location.”
You would think Craigslist was charging by the byte.
Seems like it was posted by someone who remembers the days when some papers did indeed charge by the character in ads… I guess they haven’t adjusted to the late 20th century yet.
Amen Corner, I’m not so sure. Given the prices this guy is asking, it seems like he’s from the future. 2016 maybe?
And it looks like the guy isn’t very good at math either:
“6 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms in Cow Hollow. Every bedroom has its own bathroom within”
Needs more hearts.
