1724 Grant View
While they seem to be selling the views (from the roof), the interior of 1724 Grant Street has “been renovated from top to bottom” (kitchen, baths, etc.) as well.
1724 Grant: Living
Purchased for $2,705,000 in March of 2007 (and then remodeled), they’re currently asking $2,549,000 for this “VERY SPEC’L” Telegraph Hill home. We’ll let you do the math.
UPDATE: Also listed this past April at $2,950,000 but then reduced to $2,495,000 in June (by way of $2,695,000 in May) before being withdrawn.
∙ Listing: 1724 Grant Avenue (5/4.5) – $2,549,000 [MLS]

  1. Was this renovated before or after the 07 purchase?
[Editor’s Note: Good question. With permits pulled in May of 2007 the renovation appears to have been after the purchase. Updated above and thank you for plugging in. Cheers.]

  2. Wow, I was in love right up until the point where I saw the horrible exterior of this home. 4 car garage is a premium in that nabe!

  3. What’s with the leopard print kitchen tile? It makes my head hurt. Did some cougar try to emulate her outfit with it?
I wonder what the original sales price in April was. Looks like they’re getting hosed.

  4. Very nice remodel (OK, the backsplash was over the top, but that’s a cheap and easy fix, it’s slightly outdated, and the only views are from the roof). Still, it looks very liveable.
I’m sure it will sell quickly.
And it only cost the current owners around $800 per day to live here. Hope they had a great time!

  5. I’d say it is more than liveable! I highly doubt anyone who has the $$ for a 2+mil home worries about changing out some backsplash to fit their taste, so I am guessing it will sell quicklly.

There’s a little more than backsplash going on here. Lack of any views from the living areas, lack of light in kitchen, no formal dining room, reverse floor plan, little outdoor space…converted multi unit building into single family. All challenging. But you never know…

  7. The listing for 1724 Grant Ave was withdrawn from the market without a sale after 31 days on the market.
Once again, purchased for $2,705,000 in March of 2007 and then remodeled, asking $2,549,000 when withdrawn.
