Wow, I didn’t realize that 170 Off Third was 177 Townsend Street – I used to go dancing in that space (the downstairs at least) when it was Pleasuredome and the other side was known as King Street Garage. Ah, those were the days, when I could get into that building for $10 rather a half million.

  2. I actually just bought a place there and have a unit on the Townsend side. When they told me my address would actually be 177 Townsend, all of the sudden that address made me remember the dance club too. We always referred to it as “177 Townsend”. I never would have guessed that someday I would live there!

  3. I was like wow, that is nice for that price but then you realize it is the model. Does anybody know how much the model is selling for or at least a unit of the same size and finishes?
    It is misleading to show the same images for the 500k and 900k unit. It baffles me when so much time is put into what I think is a beautifully designed building and then they can’t even take pictures of the units that are actually for sale. I understand they are not staged but they could show some or at least a floor plan.

  4. Sean, if you go to the website they have the floorplans for every unit. Their two staged models are actually a studio and a 2-bedroom. I have seen them both and half of those pictures are actually of the studio. I think the reason they don’t show the pictures of the actual units is because they are unfinished and they don’t want to show you a place with a cement floor, no fridge or window treatments. I bought a place there, and actually the two prices they listed (600K and 850K, for 1-bed and 2-bed respectively) are pretty typical.

  5. I also bought there. Been looking at all the new condo developments the last 4 months and after seeing everything, I thought 170 Off Third had the best combination of unique design, deeded parking, views, location, standard offerings, and price. Units above the 7th floor have higher ceilings. Only negative is that parking space is small if you have a SUV or large car.

  6. I think a smaller parking space is better than none… I almost bought at the Palms and it’s tough without the parking, especially here in the city. So i kept on looking and am thinking of putting down a deposit. Even though the office is not as trendy as the Palms, I thought the units are very nice; i actually enjoyed seeing the models – they are nice and warm and very welcoming. BUT don’t talk to the space-crazy lady over there, she is just looney AND def. don’t talk to the so-called manager guy – he is just a JOKE!!! I heard/read things about him and never took it seriously, until i met him that is. Man, how arrogant can one be! The rest of the team is fine; they also have this girl who worked at the Beacon – she is great, knows her stuff and very professional.
